In the beginning ...

After years of discussion, contemplation, debate, hand wringing and the never ending analysis that encompasses the decision to sell your home, my wife Leah and I have finally pulled the trigger and sold E Shelby Street.  It is time to say goodbye to NE Seattle and 10 great years.

This blog will attempt to capture our journey as we jump, fully committed into a new neighborhood and completely remodel a home in the 425.  We are finally leaving behind our Georgian Colonial "traditional" Seattle home for a mid century Ralph Anderson.  Gone are the days of telling people we live on Seattle's Montlake Cut "a few hundred yards from Husky Stadium" ... Next stop - Clyde Hill - one of Bellevue's premier communities!

This is an exciting time for our whole family and we recognize the decisions and challenges that we face will test our patience, make us question our budget, and push our comfort level as we attempt to create the "perfect" home for our family. Join us for the journey as it unfolds.  We have a lot to learn as neophytes in the world of design and architecture, and hopefully we will share with you something positive.  Or perhaps you will simply enjoy a good laugh or two at our expense!
